AH, AH, AH!!!!

At dinner, Breanna and I were having a conversation which resulted in one of us saying, "That doesn't count!"

Katelyn promptly shouted, "Ah, ah, ah!" as in the Count from Sesame Street as interpreted by me while reading. :-)

Well, we know what's important

We sat down to dinner a few nights ago and Katelyn didn't have her cup. I spotted it over on the end table by the couch. I told Katelyn, "Go get your cup. It's on the end table." She went in the general direction of the family room because I was pointing there, but she just wandered around. I said, "On the table by the couch." She looked on the coffee table, but didn't spot it on the end table. I said, "On the table by the red chair." She was still lost, so finally I said, "It's right next to the remote." The she looked right at the remote and got her cup. How bad is it that she didn't get all the other directions, but she sure knows what a remote is!!?!?!???

Duck!!!

The other day I took the girls in their wagon for a walk by the pond. We saw lots of ducks and some geese and really enjoyed it. Then on the way home, we walked on the sidewalk with trees hanging ridiculously low due to someone's negligence, so low that I have to bend over double to walk under them. Breanna felt it necessary to warn me before each tree, saying, "Duck!" so I wouldn't hit my head. But Katelyn misunderstood, because every time Breanna said "Duck!" Katelyn chimed in with "Quack!"
