My little helper
Breanna was unloading the silverware from the dishwasher and putting it away last night and there were other things like spatulas in there. She got to a flat wooden spoon-type thing and she asked me where the Bunswatters go, and she proceeded to pretend to spank her own bottom and skip all the way to the drawer. Obviously she's not too traumatized by the swats she's gotten if she can laugh about it like that!
At least she's being honest!
Breanna and I were doing some door-to-door candle selling yesterday and we were talking about being God's representative as well as her school's. I explained that we need to always be polite and respectful, so we weren't going to cut through anyone's yards and we were going to say Thank you, and Have a nice day, even if people didn't want a candle, etc.
I asked her some other ways she could think of to be polite and she said, "Like if I want something and you say no, then after I'm done arguing about it, I can say, 'Okay.'" I said, "Or we can just skip the arguing part. How about that?" But I don't think she went for that idea.

What did you say????
Breanna called her pacifier Hanin. Yup, that's right - Hanin. It was attached to a clip on a ribbon and one day I walked in and it was hanging on the rail of the crib, so I said, "Hey, look it's hanging!" From that day on that was its name. When she couldn't find it, she would cry, "Hanin!! Hanin!!" and it was funny and pitiful all at the same time.
Now the time has come for Katelyn to name hers, since she's starting to say more words every day. Well, I have been referring to it simply as her pacifier and she knows this word, but it's a little long for her to say yet. So sometimes I say paci, which she also understands. Now keep in mind she doesn't always say all the consonants at the beginnings of words. For instance, fish is ish, shoes is actually oosh, etc.
So can you figure out what Katelyn is calling her paci? Sadly in times of longing, joyously when it appears, any time, any place, at any volume? It's a three-letter word. Yup, that's right, you guessed it! I suppose if she starts yelling it in church, we can just hope the lesson involves Balaam.

I once was lost...
I just found the Original Sweet Puppy. He was curled up in the fetal position underneath Breanna's mattress waiting for help. Yes, I've changed her sheets since he was "lost," but I guess this was the first time I've lifted her mattress to pull the dust ruffle back toward the wall side, and that must have been how he got under there in the first place. So I thought he'd been taken somewhere and lost when it was all my fault in the first place!!! We'll keep him as a spare in case the imposter Sweet Puppy gets lost. :-) Oh, and I guess Breanna's not a true princess (by fairy tale standards), because I'm sure that puppy is bigger than a pea!!
And NO, she will not be shown this site (or the printed postings) until she's all grown up. :-)
