I wonder, though, if Miss Manners would require that anyone say, "Pahn me, pahn me, pahn me," over and over until she is acknowledged by the rest of the room. Probably not.

Step Aside, Miss Manners!
I feel I must brag just a bit about the politeness of my child. Yes, on occasion, she does have her moments of tantrums and rebellion and the like. But yesterday I realized there is something we have really taught her by example, and more her daddy than me. Whenever I burp, I usually say, "Excuse Mommy." But Shane says, "Pardon me." Now every time Breanna burps, coughs, or even hiccups, she says "Pahn me." She used to say, "Syoo Me," but then she switched to Daddy's version, maybe because she hears it more often. :-)
