So tonight, after yelling about bedtime, and then talking for about an hour, she finally started the really upset cry. So I went in to check on her and she said, "Poop on the potty." Not wanting to doubt that maybe she really needed to go, we quietly and in dim light went to the potty. She did immediately go, but said she needed to go more. Then for several minutes I listened to the rundown of all the interesting things in the bathroom. For instance, I heard, "Mommy's hair all wet. Beautiful hair, Mommy." "Hey, yook, ducky." "Hey, yook, Bweanna's letters over dere." "Hey, yook, Bweanna's cups." And so on, and so on. I finally put her, screaming, back to bed after there was no potty result.
Then Shane went in a few minutes later to try to calm her down, and suddenly the earth-shattering cry stopped and transformed into, "Yook, Noah's Ark over dere [followed by naming many of the animals on said Noah's Ark]." "Hey, yook, a tissue." "Read a Wocket in a Pocket." And so on, and so on. Finally he left her, screaming, in bed. Then finally, the screaming stopped. Boy, do we have to get back on schedule!!!
